Recently, Syracuse Jr High School student Colton received recognition from the Davis School District for participating in the Emmy-nominated and Utah Best of State winning video Rock Your Socks.
Rock Your Socks was inspired by Colton, who encouraged everyone to wear mismatched socks on March 21 for World Down Syndrome Day, showing support and celebrating his little brother Hudson.
The magic captured in this video shows the culture of belonging that our students exemplify across the district.
These projects show how students and dedicated educators make a real difference in our schools and the community.

SJH Robotics team 90049E "EnKrypted" won the Create Award at the Sunburst "Turkey Trot" on November 22. The Create Award recognizes a creative engineering design solution to one or more of the challenges of the competition. Great job EnKrypted!

What an inspiring start to our “Holla Dolla Days” fundraiser! 🎄✨ At our assembly today, staff shared heartfelt personal experiences with Primary Children’s Hospital—stories that showed why this cause matters. It reminded us what this season is truly about - giving!

Our Student Government had an amazing time at the Festival of Trees! This year, our tree was generously donated by Walmart, and our incredible student government members — along with their families — donated all the themed baskets that helped bring it to life. 💙🎁
We’re proud to support such a meaningful cause. 100% of the proceeds go directly to Primary Children’s Hospital, helping kids and families in our community.

Our halls have been full of creativity and laughter! The cheer squad took team spirit to a new level with an epic game of pompom basketball 🏀💥 (yes, it’s as fun as it sounds!). Meanwhile, Mr. Colton’s art class lit up the room—literally—with their amazing blacklight art projects that had everyone glowing with excitement! ✨🎨
And we can’t forget our math teachers, who totally nailed the “67 trend” with their Halloween attire—proving that math + humor = the perfect equation for fun! 🎃➕
